Ieva (pronounced yeh-vuh) is a former journalist who lived on a reporter's salary while writing about millionaires and billionaires. With nearly a decade of experience in financial journalism, she still pens an occasional need-to-know, money-related story. More often, she's writing about events throughout Washington, D.C., her recent travels around the world, and her favorite gluten-free restaurant finds, especially in her Adams Morgan Neighborhood, or hometown. And to this day, her family and friends continue to wonder how she came up with the idea to write about the popularity of boudoir photography.

A native of Nebraska, Ieva has degrees in journalism and in English from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In her spare time, she works with local charitable organizations, including the Junior League of Washington, and is an avid distance runner.
